Welcome to Brooklyn Kura! Join us for a tour of our state-of-the-art sake brewery in Industry City, Brooklyn. See first hand how we turn rice and water into delicious Brooklyn-made premium craft sake.
Led by our expert brewery staff, this experience walks you through our production facility and lets you take in the sights, sounds, and delicious smells of New York's premier sake brewery. The tour concludes in our taproom with a guided tasting flight of 3 kinds of Brooklyn Kura sake, introducing you to the nuance and variety of our award-winning sake.
After your tasting, sake by the glass or carafe, bottles to take home, and food from the taproom menu are all available for an additional charge.
Please arrive promptly in our taproom to start your tour: 34 34th Street, Inner Courtyard, Industry City Building 6, Brooklyn, NY 11232. The taproom entrance is in the Inner Courtyard — see the map on our Visit page.
We can't guarantee you'll see our brewers at work — active brewing (rice steaming, koji making) generally happens in the morning. Tours are a facility walk-through with a detailed explanation of the brewing process from our sake-expert guides.
A tasting pour of 3 kinds of Brooklyn Kura sake from the current lineup, explained in detail by our staff. Afterwards you can order more by the glass or carafe, or take bottles home.
Food isn't included in the tour, but the taproom food menu is available for an additional charge — just ask at the bar.
Cancellation and rescheduling can be accommodated up to 24 hours before the tour. Refunds are issued minus the booking service fee, which is withheld by our ticketing partner AnyRoad and can't be refunded by us. Use the Modify Booking link in your confirmation email. (If we ever have to cancel a tour on our end, you receive a 100% refund.)
Every Sake Studies Center class includes a brewery tour — plus a guided tasting class with our Director of Education.
